Senior Fatah official killed in IAF Gaza strike
A senior Fatah official and his assistant were killed when missiles fired by an IAF helicopter struck the car the two were driving in Rafah on Thursday. The two were identified as Amr Abu Suta, head of Fatah's Abu Rish group in Gaza, and Zaki Abu Zakar his assistant, Israel Radio reported. The missiles hit the car as it was nearing the entrance of the Gaza town of Rafah, not far from the Egyptian border, Palestinian sources said. The IDF said the two men were involved in numerous terrorist attacks in the Gaza Strip, including the murders of Uri Magidish from Gan-Or and Roni Tzalah from Kfar Yam. The Abu Rish group is also responsible for the recent round of kidnappings in the Gaza Strip.

The head of the Islamic Jihad in the Tulkarm area was killed on Thursday by soldiers Golani's Egoz unit during a gun battle that erupted in an olive grove between Tseide and Ilar, in the Tulkarm area. Security forces thwarted the attack and defused the bomb. He was also involved in preparing an explosives belt that was to be used in a suicide bomb attack against soldiers, an attack that was thwarted by security forces.
