Palestinian charged in murder “initiation” (JTA)
A Palestinian is being tried in Israel on suspicion of murdering a prostitute as part of a terrorist initiation ritual. The 28-year-old man was charged with murder in Haifa District Court on Monday. According to prosecutors, the defendant killed a local prostitute in 2000 to prove his mettle to a Palestinian terrorist group. He did not immediately enter a plea.
