UN ESTABLISHES NEW ANTI-ISRAEL OFFICE

UN establishes new anti-Israel office (JNW)

The United Nations, which has distinguished itself more by its anti-Israel activity than any of its peace-keeping or other humanitarian works, Friday voted to open a new facility at which Israel’s enemies can lodge complaints against the Jewish state. Any Arab who believes Israel’s security barrier has infringed on his/her rights will now be able to register for compensation at a new office that will be set up in Vienna.
This despite the fact that Israel’s Supreme Court can, and frequently has, ruled against the state and in favor of Arabs registering such complaints.
At the General Assembly vote Israel and the US came out strongly against the establishment of this complaints registry, which was passed by an overwhelming majority. The vote reflects the international community’s concerted opposition to the security barrier, a fence and wall structure erected by Israel to stop the flood of “suicide” bombings that took the lives of hundreds of Israeli Jews and others between 2000 and 2004. Despite the barrier’s proven effectiveness – it has almost completely eliminated “suicide” bombings in the areas where it has been built – the UN and its subsidiary bodies have repeatedly condemned and ruled against it.

At the same time, the General Assembly pointedly refrained from issuing a single condemnation of the Palestinian Authority for failing to act against these terror attacks.
