IDF THWARTS TERROR

Jihad: Palestinian killed by IDF planned to attack checkpoint (YNet)
A spokesman for the al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad’s armed wing, said the Palestinian killed by IDF fire near Tulkarm was identified as Muhammad Ziad, a 23-year-old group member.

The spokesman added that Ziad was supposed to carry out a terror attack at the checkpoint as part of the organization’s response to the killing of two members by IDF forces near Jenin earlier in the week. (Ali Waked)

3 bombs found in killed gunman's car in Tulkarm (YNet)
Three explosive devices were found Thursday in a car belonging to a Palestinian gunman who was killed earlier in the day by IDF troops east of Tulkarm. Contrary to earlier assumptions, he was not carrying an explosive belt. (Hanan Greenberg)
