WHY IS ISRAEL PROVIDING FUEL TO GAZA/HAMAS?

An Israeli energy company reversed a decision to cut back fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip. Dor Alon announced Monday that it would fully supply fuel to the Hamas-controlled territory following appeals by the Palestinian Authority. On Sunday, Dor Alon said it was supplying fuel only to Gaza power stations, a response to the violent takeover of the territory by Hamas. That raised the prospect of private Palestinian vehicles and electricity generators in Gaza grinding to a halt within days.
