EU presidency ‘very satisfied’ with Arafat succession process.
THE HAGUE (AFP) - The Dutch presidency of the European Union said it is “very satisfied” with steps being taken by the Palestinian Authority for a smooth succession of power following the death of veteran leader Yasser Arafat. The EU presidency is “very satisfied with the tranquil and peaceful temporary transfer of power,” Dutch Foreign Minister Ben Bot told reporters in The Hague.
