MASS MURDERER CHANGES HIS MIND

Barghouti to run in PA election
According to sources close to imprisoned Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti, the Palestinian leader has changed his mind again and decided to run in the upcoming Palestinian Authority election, throwing Palestinian politics into disarray. ...

Last week Abbas and other senior PA officials had urged Barghouti not to run against Abbas, fearing it would split the Fatah vote and turn the international community against the PA. In addition, they feared Hamas would register an independent candidate who could win if votes were split between two Fatah candidates.

Other Palestinians close to Barghouti had urged him to run so he would be released from jail. They believed that there would be strong pressure on Israel to release him if he won the elections.

The main difference between Barghouti and Abbas is that Barghouti believes negotiations with Israel must be simultaneous with the intifada in order to create a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.
