NO TRUCE AFTER ALL

I WASTED YOUR TIME BY POSTING AN ARTICLE THE OTHER DAY IN WHICH HAMAS DECLARED THAT IT WOULD ACCEPT ISRAEL FOR 10 YEARS AND DECLARE A TEMPORARY CEASEFIRE. APPARENTLY, EVEN SUCH A BABYSTEP IS TOO MUCH FOR THE TERRORISTS TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON. OH WELL. BACK TO TARGETED ASSASSINATIONS.

Islamic Jihad rules out truce.
Islamic Jihad leader in the Gaza Strip, Mohammed Al-Hindi, said Saturday that his group would not agree to a temporary ceasefire (hudna) "of any length" with Israel, "as long as the Zionist enemy occupies Palestinian lands." Al-Hindi added that Islamic Jihad was rejecting all talk of ceasefire "as long as the circumstances that led to the death of the late leader Yasser Arafat are still unclear, and we do not know if he died by poisoning or from radiation."

Hamas Rejects Cease-fire with Israel.
GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas ruled out any truce with Israel Sunday and repeated its desire to destroy the Jewish state, rejecting what had appeared to be more conciliatory comments by one of the Islamic militant group's leaders. "There is no talk about a truce now at all," Mahmoud Al-Zahar, a top Hamas leader, told reporters. "Our strategy is to liberate all Palestinian soil," Zahar said, referring to the West Bank, Gaza and Israel.
