OUR FRIENDS, THE SAUDIS

While Saudi Arabia promotes its conference on counter-terrorism (to which Israel - the main victim of terrorism - was not invited), Saudi TV keeps polluting the airwaves with jihad rhetoric and hatred of Jews and Christians.

MEMRI has excerpts of a February 3, 2005 IQRA TV program with Saudi cleric Musa Al-Qarni: “The Jews and Christians are Allah’s Enemies... We Ask Allah to Strengthen the Jihad Fighters in Iraq.”

“Let’s take a real-life example. Today, the Jews are occupying the Muslims’ lands, raping their women, killing their children, and destroying their houses — are these acts being perpetrated by the Muslims or by the Jews?”

Interviewer: “By the Jews, as anyone with eyes can see. This is clear to the entire world...”

Interviewer: “You shouldn’t blame them for this. We are the ones to blame if we agree to change the Koran and the tradition to suit them.”

Al-Qarni: “The terrorists are these Jews and Christians who implement these
policies through the use of force, repression, and tyranny, and to this end make
use of planes, tanks, and all manner of deadly weapons.”

Memri also notes that at the counter-terrorism conference, Saudi defense minister Sultan bin Abd Al-Aziz quoted a poet saying Osama Bin Laden was sent by the Jews.

Long live security - may its men hold their heads high on every corner. (Bin Laden), whose ideology is sick, who was sent by the Jews, who is the architect of theft, was treacherous and sent us the criminals.

A few years ago, the same prince blamed "congressmen wearing Jewish yarmulkes" for the oil kingdom's bad media relations.
