YWCA motion on report fails
A board representing the national YWCA movement failed to condemn a report that compares Israeli actions to those of the Nazis.

The motion condemning the 2004 Witness Report made by members of the World YWCA failed earlier this month, the Jewish News of Greater Phoenix reported. Five members voted in favor, with 11 opposed and one abstaining. The four-page report described a visit to Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat in spring 2004 and concluded that Israel is trying to “rid the land of the Palestinians” just as “Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews,” the paper reported.
