Israel Dismisses Koran Defilement Charges - Yaakov Katz (Jerusalem Post) Israel Prisons Service officials on Wednesday rejected Palestinian accusations that guards at Megiddo Prison had ripped pages of the Koran during a routine search on Tuesday. A Prisons Service inquiry revealed that during a search of the prison, guards flipped through a Koran and pages that did not belong to the book but had been placed inside fell out.
