25,000 TERROR ATTACKS IN LAST 5 YEARS

HOW WOULD PEOPLE IN THE U.S. OR EUROPE REACT TO A PROPORTIONATE NUMBER OF ATTACKS (1 MILLION?) ON THEIR SOIL? LET'S HOPE WE DON'T HAVE TO FIND OUT.

Israel tallies attacks
Palestinian terrorists have carried out 25,000 attacks over the past five years, Israel’s security chief said. Yuval Diskin, director of the Shin Bet, delivered the data as part of a Knesset discussion Tuesday on whether to maintain restrictions on Palestinian entry to Israel. Since fighting erupted in September 2000, Diskin said, 1,048 Israelis have been killed and more than 5,600 wounded by Palestinian attacks.

According to the security chief, the death of Yasser Arafat and his succession by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas brought a temporary improvement in Israel’s security situation. But with violence recently on the rise, he said the Shin Bet now receives some 60 intelligence warnings of potential terror attacks every day.
