UPDATED: ISLAMOFASCISTS HIT LONDON; NETANYAHU DODGES A BULLET

Scores killed in London blasts
At least 33 people were killed and hundreds more sustained injuries after a series of blasts ravaged London's bus and subway system, in an attack claimed by an al-Qaeda-affiliated group as revenge for the wars in Iraq Afghanistan. However, local police officials speaking at a press conference said the figures they provided were not final and the death toll was expected to rise.

Three subway stations and one bus were targeted in the attack. Earlier, American sources said at least 43 people were killed in the blasts. Earlier, a group calling itself "Secret Group of al-Qaeda's Jihad in Europe" said it was behind the blasts, the German Der Spiegel magazine reported.

Netanyahu Changed Plans Due to Warning

JERUSALEM - British police told the Israeli Embassy in London minutes before Thursday's explosions that they had received warnings of possible terror attacks in the city, a senior Israeli official said. Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had planned to attend an economic conference in a hotel over the subway stop where one of the blasts occurred, and the warning prompted him to stay in his hotel room instead, government officials said. Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said he wasn't aware of any Israeli casualties. Just before the blasts, Scotland Yard called the security officer at the Israeli Embassy to say they had received warnings of possible attacks, the official said. He did not say whether British police made any link to the economic conference.

BUT SEE: Israeli Embassy Denies Report It Received Early Warning of Attacks A spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in London strongly denied Associated Press reports indicating British intelligence services informed embassy security officers of terrorists' intentions minutes before the terror attacks in London. THE ISLAMOFASCISTS WILL NOT DO WHAT HITLER COULDN'T DO. THEY WILL NOT BREAK THE BRITISH PEOPLE. THE BRITISH PEOPLE HAVE FACED WORSE BEFORE AND COME UP SWINGING. ALL DECENT PEOPLE ARE LONDONERS TODAY.
