A REAL TEENAGER, BUT NOT A SYMPATHETIC ONE

THE BODY OF THE STORY MAKES THE HEADLINE GIVE YOU PAUSE:

Palestinian teenager shot at Israeli checkpoint.

NABLUS, West Bank (AFP) - A Palestinian teenager who approached an army checkpoint in the northern West Bank while wielding a knife was shot and wounded by Israeli soldiers.  An army spokesman said the troops had opened fire at the victim’s legs when he was two meters (yards) from their post by the village of Beit Furik, close to Nablus, shouting Allah Aqbar (God is Great) and displaying a knife.  Palestinian sources said the victim, aged 14, was hit in the abdomen and in the hand before being taken for treatment in an Israeli hospital.

MAYBE A BETTER HEADLINE WOULD BE: "SOLDIERS SHOW RESTRAINT AND MERCY TO TERRORIST"
