RUNNING FOR ISRAEL
Rabbi Eric Ertel is running for Israel again this year. He's the founder and director of "Running For Israel," a group that organizes runners in the New York City Marathon (and beyond) to raise money (through sponsors) for causes that support Israel.
This year, money raised will go to 4 charities: One Family helps terror victims and their families. Honest Reporting is a media watch dog that ensures fair coverage of events in the Middle East. Keren Y and Y provides food in the form of credits at local markets to poor families hit hardest by the economic downturn and lack of tourism caused by terrorism. The last, Hasbara Fellowships, partners with the Israeli Foreign Ministry to teach students how to effectively speak out against anti-Semitic and anti-Israel bias on campus.
How can you help? Well, you could get off your couch, eat right, begin training intensively, and run the NYC Marathon. Not for you? Then how about making a donation HERE?
