Study: Lobby influences Mideast policy
The pro-Israel lobby has turned America’s Mideast policy against U.S. interests, according to a paper by researchers at Harvard and the University of Chicago.

The analysis, distributed Thursday by Palestinian officials in Washington, said groups like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and other supporters of Israel have skewed U.S. policy, Ha’aretz reported. The report, which utilized newspaper accounts and reports from the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, also suggests supporters of Israel pushed the United States into war with Iraq.

AIPAC officials would not immediately comment.
