OLIVER TWIST IN REVERSE

WHILE THE PALESTINIANS BRAINWASH THEIR CHILDREN TO HATE JEWS AND PRESSURE THEM INTO BECOMING SUICIDE BOMBERS, ISRAEL OFFERS THEM TRAINING AND MONEY FOR STUDYING.  IT MUST BE AN EVIL, ZIONIST CONSPIRACY.

Jerusalem to offer child peddlers training, money for studying

Dozens of junctions between French Hill and the outskirts of Ramallah have in recent years become a job site for children hawking their wares to help their families. A few say they manage to bring home about NIS 1,000 a month this way; others claimed even higher profits. The money goes straight to their parents, although it is believed the kids sometimes fall victim to operators who skim a share off the top.  Mayor Uri Lupolianski, who saw the phenomenon firsthand a few months ago, has declared war on the phenomenon. And so, the city’s department for the advancement of youth, headed by Shabi Amedi, has put together a far-reaching program to provide an alternative solution for the street-corner kids so they can earn money and study at the same time.

The city, together with members of the business community, is to finance vocational training for the children as waiters, in restaurant kitchens and gardening. The kids will be able to earn what they do at the junctions while learning a trade. In return, they will promise to spend two-thirds of the day at their studies, with tutors provided by the city and the participating businesses.  Amedi raised about NIS 100,000 from municipal sources and participating businesses to provide a basic salary for the children. He gives the Seven Arches Hotel on the Mount of Olives as an example. “The hotel is already training a group of 16- and 17-year-olds as cooks and waiters,” he says. “Of course the 12-year-olds can’t wait tables, but we want the hotel to take a small group and teach them the basics of the profession. We will finance the positions as long as the kids get paid, and study on-site with the tutors we send.” Amedi says each child will be tutored at his own level.  Amedi also wants to see a nursery established in East Jerusalem where kids can learn how to grow and sell flowers.
