Police sources said Sunday that security guards at Tel Aviv’s Central Bus Station prevented a terror attack when they apprehended a 24-year-old Palestinian who was carrying a dagger. The Palestinian, from the village of Burkin in the West Bank, admitted during his interrogation that he intended to attack Jews.

During the evening hours, bus station security guards spotted the Palestinian, who was acting suspiciously. During the subsequent search of his belongings they came upon a dagger. Police were dispatched to the scene to arrest the would-be terrorist. Police said later that the Palestinian entered Israel unlawfully.

Earlier on Sunday, an IDF soldier from the Galilee filed a complaint with Karmiel Police claiming unidentified men attempted to kidnap him in the morning.
