ASHERI'S KIDNAPPERS WITHIN ISRAELI'S GRASP

Palestinian sources in Ramallah said Monday night that a large IDF force is encircling a Palestinian police station in the city. The force is encircling the structure containing three members of Fatah’s armed wing, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, apparently involved in last week’s kidnap and murder of Eliyahu Asheri, 18, of Itamar. Exchanges of fire were reported at the scene.

The Fatah members are trapped in the station after being arrested by Palestinian police. According to Palestinian security forces, the IDF is involved in a large operation. A military source told Ynet that dozens of soldiers, military jeeps, tanks and bulldozers are surrounding the structure. The activists were arrested by Palestinian police a few days after Asheri's kidnapping due to suspicions that they were involved in the abduction.
