FRENCH TV SUES THOSE ACCUSING IT OF MEDIA MANUPULATION FOR PALESTINIANS

Watch This Trial (NYSun)
Remember Mohammed al-Dura? As Michelle Malkin writes "the boy was allegedly gunned down by Israeli soldiers. But as Nidra Poller and David Gelernter, among others, have reported, the truth was not on the terror sympathizers' side ... Now France-2 TV is suing critics of the Mohammed Dura video for defamation. The trial starts 9/14."

Stephane Juffa described the film of al-Dura supposedly being shot in a November 26, 2004, Wall Street Journal Europe article as "one of the greatest media manipulations the world has ever seen," and that it is: "beyond any reasonable doubt, pure fiction." The film, for example, showed no blood or evidence of a killing. "Details" of what happened just came just from a voice-over by France 2 reporter. Further, a civilian physicist, Nahum Shahaf, showed that it was impossible for the boy to have been killed by Israeli troops from that angle. France 2 had said there was footage that was too brutal to be shown -- why no blood was ever shown on television. Later they admitted that this tape didn't actually exist. Oh and slow motion shows a cameraman flashing a "take-two" signal.

Let the Frogs sue, but hopefully some aspect of the case can have a US courtroom as a venue.

As you note the Dreyfus Affair was not one of the shining moments of Frog history.
