SHOT UP OSLO SYNAGOGUE FORCED TO REMOVE CAMERAS

Oslo Synagogue was forced to drop camera surveillance (BagelBlogger)

The Oslo Synagogue riddled by bullets, suspected to have been automatic gun fire was forced to stop the use of Surveillance Cameras

The Mosaic Religious Community in Oslo must drop their camera surveillance of streets, sidewalks and private balconies in their neighborhood, the Datatilsynet - Data Inspectorate - has ruled. [ The camera was mounted on the shot up Synagogue, but that little tid bit doesn't seem to important to the Norwegians in the Intro Paragraph.]
The Mosaic Religious Community has petitioned to continue its practice, arguing that the surveillance is a security measure necessary to forestall attacks on the Jewish buildings. The Data Inspectorate will not approve the supersession of personal privacy concerns, newspaper VÃ¥rt Land reports. [Yes the privacy of pedestrians walking by is far more important than stopping the murder of Jews]

A television camera mounted on the synagogue at the Jewish community center in Oslo must be removed by March 1, ending the monitoring of private balconies, streets and sidewalks in the area. [monitoring of private balconies ??]

Inspectorate director Georg Apenes told the newspaper that the center had the right to monitor their own property, but not the neighborhood. That job belonged to the police, Apenes said. Norway's Justice minister was contacting key members of the Jewish community in Oslo on Monday, after a round of shots was fired at the capital's synagogue over the weekend. Higher security around the synagogue may involve closing off the street where it's located.

The Norwegian State actively participates in protests against Israel, they bring an 'unoffical' protest of not buying Israeli Produce and then are surprised when radical elements within their society feel empowered to take the protests further?

No one was injured in the shooting, which damaged the front of the synagogue in Oslo's St Hanshaugen district. Police said more than 10 shots were fired, probably from an automatic weapon, at the synagogue's façade early Sunday morning.
