KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT FOILED

Kidnapping suspect hospitalized (JPost)
One of the suspects in the kidnapping attempt at a factory in Kiryat Sefer was in a Ramallah hospital suffering from gunshot wounds, Israel Radio quoted the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) as saying on Wednesday afternoon.

A group of Palestinians apparently tried to kidnap a factory manager and another Israeli in Kiryat Sefer, north of Modi'in earlier Wednesday. According to the manager, six Palestinian men, four of them armed, burst into his office at the factory and attempted to abduct the two at gunpoint. The manager said that he shot at his alleged attackers, hitting at least one of them.

After questioning the manager and searching the area, security forces said that evidence - including a hole in the factory fence, bloodstains, gloves, a toy gun, and plastic handcuffs - was found to corroborate his claim. Neither of the Israelis were hurt.
