BUSH GREASES UP ISRAEL IN ANTICIPATION OF BAKER REPORT

THAT'S RIGHT, THE SAUDI WAHABI'S EXPORT ISLAMOFASCISM AROUND THE WORLD BECAUSE OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CRISIS. SADDAM HUSSEIN FED DISSIDENTS INTO WOOD CHIPPERS BECAUSE OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CRISIS. SYRIA IS TRYING TO TOPPLE LEBANON BECAUSE OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CRISIS.

FOLKS, IF THE ARAB WORLD RECOGNIZED ISRAEL'S LEGITIMACY AND STOPPED TERROR ATTACKS TOMORROW, THERE WOULD BE PEACE THE NEXT DAY. OF COURSE, THE ARAB REGIMES AREN'T INTERESTED IN THAT. THE PALESTINIANS HAVE PROVED TIME AND AGAIN THAT THEY ARE NOT.

Bush boosts Abbas (JTA)
President Bush said achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace was key to stabilizing the wider Middle East. “There is no question that if we were able to settle the Israeli-Palestinian issue it would help bring more peace to the Middle East,” Bush told reporters Thursday after meeting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in Amman. “Therefore our government is focused on helping develop the two-state solution.”

Bush reiterated his endorsement of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has been struggling to revive peacemaking efforts since Hamas took over the P.A. government in March.

Abbas’ relatively moderate Fatah faction has tried to soften a Western aid embargo on the Palestinian Authority by talking about possibly entering a coalition government with Hamas, but the efforts have not borne fruit.

Bush said Abbas deserved credit for coming out against Hamas’ harder line. “He deserves support in peeling his government away from those who do not recognize Israel’s right to exist,” Bush said.
