ISRAELI LEFTIST WANTS TO BAN JEWISH PROSELYTIZING
A new bill would ban Chabad emissaries from approaching young Jews in Israel. The proposal, brought to the Knesset floor Monday by Labor lawmaker Ophir Pines-Paz, would bar adults from pressuring anyone aged 18 or younger to intensify their religious involvement. The bill would outlaw Chabad’s practice of approaching young Jewish men on public thoroughfares and urging them to don tefillin.
