ATTACKS ON FRENCH JEWS ROSE 46% IN 2006

French Jewish groups say anti-Semitic attacks rose in 2006 (YNet)
The number of anti-Semitic incidents in France jumped sharply in 2006 – this according to a report issued by CRIF, the representative council of Jewish Institutions in France. According to the data physical attacks on Jews rose by 46 percent to 112 in 2006 from 77 the previous year. CRIF says anti-Semitic attacks were boosted following the brutal murder of a Ilan Halimi in February 2006 and the summer war in Lebanon.
