BRITISH FOREIGN SECRETARY HAS ISRAELI KIN

Miliband has Israeli kin (JTA)
Britain's foreign secretary has relatives in Israel. David Miliband, who visited Jerusalem this week as part of international efforts to show support ahead of the Annapolis peace conference with the Israelis and Palestinians, is himself Jewish and has extended family in Israel.

Miri Krimolowski, an Israel Radio correspondent, revealed in the report that she is Miliband's second cousin and that the foreign secretary has other distant relatives in kibbutzim and West Bank settlements.

There were conflicting reports about whether Miliband held a family reunion while in Israel. The British Embassy in Tel Aviv had no immediate comment. According to Ma'ariv, about a month ago Miliband sent a videotaped greeting to a gathering of about 100 of his relatives in Israel.
