BUSH BLOCKS U.S. EMBASSY MOVE TO JERUSALEM

GOING BACK ON PRIOR COMMITMENTS AND REPEATING THE DUPLICITY OF ALL OF HIS PREDECESSORS IN THE OVAL OFFICE, BUSH REFUSED TO FOLLOW THE LAW MANDATING MOVING THE U.S. EMBASSY TO ISRAEL'S CAPITAL, JERUSALEM.

HOW IS MOVING THE EMBASSY GOING TO JEAPORDIZE U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY? BY MAKING MUSLIM FANATICS HATE US? GUESS WHAT - THEY ALREADY DO.

HOW IS MOVING THE EMBASSY GOING TO PREJUDICE FUTURE PEACE NEGOTIATIONS? DOES ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND (I.E., WHO DOESN'T CALL FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL) DOUBT THAT AS PART OF THE FINAL PEACE SETTLEMENT (HOPEFULLY IN MY GREAT GRANDCHILDRENS' LIFETIMES) ISRAEL WILL RETAIN AT LEAST PART OF JERUSALEM?

Bush suspends Jerusalem law, again
President Bush renewed his suspension of a law mandating that the U.S. Embassy be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

President Bush renewed his suspension of a law mandating that the U.S. Embassy be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I hereby determine that it is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States to suspend for a period of six months,” Bush’s memorandum Wednesday to Secretary of State Colin Powell read. “My administration remains committed to beginning the process of moving our embassy to Jerusalem.” Presidents Clinton and Bush routinely have exercised their six-month suspension option since the law was passed in 1995, saying they do not want to pre-empt peace negotiations.

The Republican Party reasserted its commitment to recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as recently as the August convention, when its platform said, “Republicans continue to support moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem.”
