IRAN: ISRAEL IS A "FAKE REGIME"

Iran President: Israel Is a 'Fake Regime' (A.P.)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday renewed his criticism of Israel, calling it a "fake regime" that cannot continue to exist. "Some 60 years have passed since the end of World War II. Why should the people of Germany and Palestine pay now for a war in which the current generation was not involved?" Ahmadinejad said at a news conference. "We say that this fake regime (Israel) cannot not logically continue to live," he said.

TO A.P., THIS IS "CRITICISM OF ISRAEL." TO ME, WHEN READ WITH THE IRANIAN PRESIDENT'S PRIOR COMMENTS IN MIND, IT'S A THREAT OF GENOCIDE. YOU SAY "TO-MAAHTO."

Iran's president didn't issue a threat of genocide, rather he questioned the creation of Israel. He only called for Europeans to combat Antisemitism, and called for the Jews to go to thier homelands (Most of them were born in Europe) and for Palestinian refugees to be given thier right to return to Palestine. Regardless of whether he is right or wrong, this is not a call for genocide. This is his openion and he has the right to express it.
Best regards,
