IRANIAN GENERAL, CHEMICAL AND WEAPONS EXPERTS WORKING WITH HAMAS IN GAZA

Report: Fatah Arrests Seven Iranian Weapons Experts in Gaza - Avi Issacharoff (Ha'aretz)
The Fatah-affiliated Palestinian Security Force arrested seven Iranian weapons experts working for Hamas during a raid at the Islamic University in Gaza City, a senior Fatah official reported Thursday. He said an eighth committed suicide during the raid. Fatah forces reported apprehending some 1,400 firearms and missiles at the site. According to Fatah, some of the Iranians were chemical experts. Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said Friday that in addition to funding weapons for Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the West Bank and Gaza, Iran "is also very intensively involved in training and upgrading the professional capability of the terrorist groups in Gaza."

A Palestinian source said that an Iranian general nabbed in Gaza by Palestinian security officers supervised the manufacturing of weapons and explosives for Hamas. He was in charge of several labs in the university, mainly chemistry labs in which he trained Hamas activists in manufacturing explosives.
